Quick answer: add device watts × hours, then ×1.15 for inverter loss. Most camping / overnight backup needs ~1,000Wh and 1,800W continuous. Multi-day home backup usually needs ~2,000Wh+.

Use our sizing tool for a worked example, then check the TrailCell Lab rankings for camping, home backup, or RV.
